Executive Director, Greenville Symphony Orchestra
Speaking at Closing Luncheon and Plenary
Jessica Satava is a passionate advocate for the power of symphonic music to activate and unite communities. She serves as the Executive Director of the Greenville Symphony Orchestra, which serves the public through three concert series, an array of community engagement initiatives, and onsite music education programming at all 52 elementary schools in Greenville County.
Prior to her arrival in South Carolina, Satava was Executive Director of the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra, where under her leadership the orchestra enjoyed fiscal balance for the first time in recent memory due to the aggressive pursuit and achievement of revenue goals and the initiation of key community partnerships to support access to music for all. Previous experience includes roles at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University and the Aspen Music Festival and School.
Satava serves the next generation of arts leaders as a member of the Peabody Institute’s Professional Studies faculty. She is an alumna of the League of American Orchestra’s Essentials of Orchestra Management 2019.
